CAMGEW Trained 75 Persons on Beehive Construction
In Bankim of Adamoua Region, Cameroon

23rd and 24th June 2022

On the 23rd and 24th of June 2022, in partnership with Afoni Children of Hope Foundation-Bankim, CAMGEW trained 75 persons including 25 women and youths on construction of beehives using locally available materials and equipment. This training used the approach of learning-by-doing and materials used involved bamboo and available plank in Adamawa Region.

The participants learned how to construct hallow traditional beehives and Kenyan Top-Bar beehives. CAMGEW promotes bee farming that uses indigenous technology in honey value chain development. 8 bee hives were constructed by the participants during the learning session. This activity was done with a lot of commitment by participants.
